Bone Disorders
The skeleton is active organ that is rebuilds itself throughout a lifetime. It is important to supply they body with enough calcium and vitamin D to be able to constantly rebuild and repair the skeleton. Physical exercise also helps maintain a healthy skeleton.
Male and female sex hormones play an important role in skeletal health and a lack of hormones leads to weakening of bones. Bone disorders are common and individuals at risk need to be tested for them.
