Iowa Diabetes and Endocrinology Research Center (IDERC) is committed to improving the lives of Iowans affected by diabetes through participation in clinical research.

Formed in 2007, the research center strives to ensure patients with diabetes have access to, and can benefit from, the latest diabetes research and treatment. IDERC’s relationship with Iowa Diabetes and Endocrinology Center (IDEC), the largest diabetes and endocrinology clinic in Iowa, gives the research center access to IDEC’s seven board-certified endocrinologists—including research center founder and President Anuj Bhargava, M.D., M.B.A., CDE, FACP, FACE. Since its inception, IDERC has helped more than 100 diabetic patients and participated in numerous research studies.
